We are very happy to announce that we have become the latest business to form a partnership with the marine conservation charity, Sea-Changers.  As so much of our work is inspired by our seaside surroundings, we are excited to be able to support the great work this charity does.

About Sea-Changers

Sea-Changers is a charity with a simple mission: to give back to the sea.

The charity is run by volunteers who develop bespoke partnerships with businesses that care about the marine environment, with the aim of raising money for a UK based marine conservation fund.

Sea-Changers distribute the donated money, in accordance with their funding policy, to a range of projects engaged in:  direct marine clean up action, education and awareness-raising about marine conservation issues, species and habitat protection, and conservation research.

Many of the projects funded undertake grassroots community conservation work that simply would not take place without the Sea-Changers grant.

Since being set up in 2011, Sea-Changers has awarded over 120 grants to projects right around the UK.

Some examples of the projects that received funds in 2018 are:

  • Basking Shark Scotland who will be running a series of clean ups in the remote islands of Argyll transporting their volunteers via ribs and an inflatable dinghy.
  • Shetland Amenity Trust who are using the funding to produce a film about the UK’s successful voluntary litter pick which involves 20% of Shetland’s population volunteering to clean its beaches and coastlines annually.
  • Environment Plymouth will be running local workshops (Plastic Surgeries) on the dangers of plastic pollution and the alternatives available for local traders.
  • Plastic Clever Salcombe’s ‘Kids Against Plastic’ campaign, which will empower children to help make change in their community and reduce the ‘big four’ plastic polluters.

Our contribution

Sea-Changers supporters can now raise money every time they spend over £10 on the our website by simply using the code SEACHANGERS at the checkout. This action will save the customer 10% on their shopping basket total and, for every sale made with this code, we will donate another 10% of the sale price to Sea-Changers……Simple!

This hope this is just the beginning of our relationship with this super charity and are very much looking forward to using our design skills to help raise more funding in the near future.
