Finally we’ve had time to put together a few images and thoughts from our recent visit to Top Drawer at Earls Court. We had a great time meeting new buyers, catching up with a few old ones and sharing our experiences with other traders. Set up was very easy, we even managed to get there without going too far off course, which is a first for us! Kate’s navigation skills were great, but then she’s an old ‘townie’ so felt at home in London. It didn’t take us long to get sorted but we were spurred on by the thought of a spot of shopping followed by a couple of expensive glasses of vino to settle our nerves…..purely medicinal you understand. Luckily we had a very comfortable place to stay in Chiswick (courtesy of Kate’s friend Catherine……..thank you!), which also meant a short journey in to the venue every morning and a quick escape to the pub on the way home.
Our little stand had many visitors throughout the show, and we came away with 14 new stockists and lots of interest from some great clients which we hope will see further developments in the near future. This was a fabulous show, the quality of stands was brilliant, it has a totally different feel to anything else we’ve done so far and we’ll definitely be going back next year, to the new venue at Olympia.
